Summer is here and it's time for a "Cool Sailing!" While I wish I was taking a cruise this summer, I'm not... unless hubby has something up his sleeve that I don't know about! But, I bet some of you are about to set sail, so let's get festive with a nautical-themed card today.
This card was made with the following colors of papers and inks: Gypsy (purple), Buttercup (yellow), Whisper (gray), and White Daisy. The nautical-themed images were Cricut cut from the Pack Your Bags cartridge. That is such a fun, vacation-inspired cartridge!
The background papers were embossed with a Chevron Embossing Folder to simulate waves.
The "Cool" sentiment was from an exclusive stamp set that is included in the CTMH Cricut Artbooking bundle. I popped a piece of foam tape to the back to make it stand out. I added a cute piece of hemp to the top of the anchor... I didn't have any chain, so something that looked rope-y was a nice fit.
I will be linking this card to: Mojo Monday #351, found HERE, and Fantabulous Cricut #216, found HERE.
By the way, I am headed up to the Close To My Heart annual convention in Anaheim, CA tomorrow. First, I will post a really cute card for you, and then for the next three days, I will be at convention and posting pictures of the incredible artwork that is found there. You won't want to miss a thing!
I'll see you in the craft room,

DeleteI like the non-tradition nautical colors - like purple and gray. Did you ink the edge - almost hard to see - but very awesome. (And, I have that stamp set, too. I haven't used it yet. Very "cool" place to use it.
ReplyDeleteFaith, I inked the edges of the gray wheel and the purple postage stamp. That stamp set is a lot of fun... especially with teenagers in the house! Thank you for your comments!
