"Way Cute" Card with Skylark Papers

Here is a card that will be a home run with my "tween" daughter. It's got sparkle, it's got shine and dimension, and most of all, it has adorable phrases like, "Awesome" and "Way Cute".

This is a 4.25" x 5.5" card with a White Daisy card base. All of the other papers were taken from the Skylark Paper Packet. Those are some versatile papers!

I started with a background piece of patterned paper, just slightly smaller than the card size, and added a 1" x 5.5" (just a little smaller than that actually) piece of Lagoon cardstock down the right-hand side. I sponged Sweet Leaf ink around the background paper and Lagoon ink on the Lagoon cardstock and striped banner.

The Kraft colored cardstock is 3" x 2.5", with another piece cut out around the stamped sentiment. Desert Sand ink was used to sponge around the Kraft piece. The Lagoon-striped banner is 3" x 1", with a piece of Teal Shimmer Trim above it, at the top of the page, and below the chipboard circle. The corners of all papers on the left-hand side were rounded with my corner rounder.

The chipboard circle was taken from the Dimensional Elements Signage pack. I sponged around it with Desert Sand ink and stamped the "Way Cute" sentiment in the center. I used the "True To Life" stamp set for this and the other two sentiments stamped onto the Kraft paper.

For the finishing touch, I added Liquid Glass to the very center of the "Way Cute" sentiment to give it a ton of glassy shine!

I will be linking this card to Mojo Monday, Challenge #348, found HERE. This week's sketch looks like this:

I'll see you in the craft room,
