I'm celebrating July 4th a little early with this "What A Blast" card, using the June Stamp of the Month. I only have one new stamp set left, so please contact me if you missed out on ordering this set in June!
This card is inspired by a few challenges this week: the sketch is from Mojo Monday #352, the colors of Barn Red, Pacifica, and Crystal Blue are from Color Dare #100, Heart 2 Heart is also using red and White Daisy (optional blue) with a lot of sparkle and stitching (I hand-drew stitch lines), and finally, Fantabulous Cricut #217 has an anything goes challenge!
As I mentioned, the colors of cardstock and inks for this project were: Crystal Blue (card base and large exploding firework), Pacifica (center cardstock strip, sentiment backing and sentiment ink), Barn Red (all of the red pictured), and White Daisy (all of the white pictured).
I used the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge to cut most of the geometric images on the card, including: the large and small circles for the exploding fireworks, and the cardstock backing for the "What a BLAST" sentiment. If you don't own Art Philosophy, you could always cut these out yourself.
To finish off the card, I added hand-stitched lines, foam tape to the back of the sentiment, Clear Sparkles, and a lot of glitter!
