New Month, New Catalog, and NEW Blog!

Hello friends! I have a lot of exciting news today! Today is August 1st, which means the release of the brand new Close To My Heart 2014/15 Annual Inspirations Idea Book, and all of the new products inside! Plus, there is a new Constant Campaign for August, and a new Stamp of the Month for August!

Also, to coincide with the new catalog and new beginnings, I have switched over to WordPress and made a new blog! I was able to import all of my posts and comments from this blog, so when you find me at my new site, all of the same content will still be available.

Here is a partial screen shot (condensed) of what the new site looks like. It is more streamlined, less cluttered, and hopefully, more aesthetically pleasing!! And best of all, my new blog address is:

ScrapbookingSue.com

No more .blogspot in my name, just a direct link to the blog. I have been changing my address at all of the social media sites, so please let me know if you click on something and it doesn't work.

If you follow me on Bloglovin, you should continue to see my updated posts with my new address. This is important... if you follow me by email, RSS, or from this blog directly, none of the information will get to you once I stop blogging here today! PLEASE, visit my new site and sign up again for emails, RSS, or to join my blog. Thank you so much!

Oh, and what about today's post? You can find it over at scrapbookingsue.com later this afternoon!

Thank you for being a loyal reader and continuing to follow me over at the new blog!

I'll see you in the craft room, AND at scrapbookingsue.com!

"What A Blast" Card

I'm celebrating July 4th a little early with this "What A Blast" card, using the June Stamp of the Month. I only have one new stamp set left, so please contact me if you missed out on ordering this set in June!

This card is inspired by a few challenges this week: the sketch is from Mojo Monday #352, the colors of Barn Red, Pacifica, and Crystal Blue are from Color Dare #100, Heart 2 Heart is also using red and White Daisy (optional blue) with a lot of sparkle and stitching (I hand-drew stitch lines), and finally, Fantabulous Cricut #217 has an anything goes challenge!

As I mentioned, the colors of cardstock and inks for this project were: Crystal Blue (card base and large exploding firework), Pacifica (center cardstock strip, sentiment backing and sentiment ink), Barn Red (all of the red pictured), and White Daisy (all of the white pictured).

I used the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge to cut most of the geometric images on the card, including: the large and small circles for the exploding fireworks, and the cardstock backing for the "What a BLAST" sentiment. If you don't own Art Philosophy, you could always cut these out yourself.

To finish off the card, I added hand-stitched lines, foam tape to the back of the sentiment, Clear Sparkles, and a lot of glitter!

I'll see you in the craft room,

Also this month, I am offering a FREE mini stamp or mini stamp set for all orders of $25 or more placed on my CTMH shopping website HERE. Please do NOT add the stamp/set to your shopping cart. This promotion is only available through me, and not a general CTMH promotion; therefore, I will personally mail you your stamp/set once your order is confirmed. Thanks!

On another note, today is the day of the draw for the Cricut Teresa Collins Sophisticated cartridge. Unfortunately, there were no entries for this drawing, so there is no winner this time.
