I have an event coming up in July (I'll reveal what/where it is once it is completely official!). One thing that I love to do at any kind of event is have a door prize! Not only does giving away something for free attract people to my booth, but it also makes me feel good to give things away and share in the excitement of the winner!
But before I can pick a winner, I first need to have people fill out an entry form. And when filling out a form, it's always nice to have a hard surface to write on. Well, as a paper crafter, I can't just hand someone a boring old clipboard to write on, can I? Enter... the altered clipboards.
I fancied up four Dollar Store clipboards, to make them a little more pleasing to the eye. While I could have definitely added a lot more elements, remember that these boards were designed to actually be used; therefore, any bulky 3-D items would make them virtually impossible to write on. I kept them as flat as I could, while still adding some color and pizazz!
Here is an owl clipboard made with the Lollydoodle papers and stickers:
And another owl board (owls are VERY trendy right now), made with different patterned papers from the Lollydoodle packet and sticker sheets:
A bird-themed board made with the Skylark papers and hand-stamped elements:
An finally, an outdoorsy board made with the Timberline papers and stickers:
All of the boards were sealed with matte Mod Podge glue/sealant, and adorned with ribbons and/or textiles. Unfortunately, CTMH doesn't carry Mod Podge (which I use in boatloads!), but you can find it here:
I'll see you in the craft room,
