"Sweet" Blooming Flower

This morning, I made a multi-layered flower card, to simulate it blooming. My main color scheme was Sunset, Lagoon, and Olive.

I started with a 5.5" x 4.25" card, made with the Sunset cardstock, and sponged with Sunset ink around the edges. The next layer was a 5" x 3.75" piece of White Daisy cardstock, which I ran through my Cuttlebug machine with a Chevron Embossing Folder.

The long pieces of patterned Lagoon cardstock were from the Skylark Workshops On The Go Scrapbooking Kit. The vertical piece was cut at 0.5" x 3.75" and the horizontal pieces were approximately 3.25" x 0.5" and 2.75" x 0.5". All pieces were inked around the edges with Lagoon ink.

The flowers were cut from Sunset and Lagoon cardstock with my Cricut machine using the Art Philosophy Cartridge. The leaves were cut from the Artbooking cartridge, out of Olive cardstock. All pieces were sponged around the edges with their matching inks.

You can really see the flower layers when viewing from the side! The "Sweet" sentiment (from the Artbooking Cricut bundle) was stamped in Sunset ink onto White Daisy cardstock. I then cut it out and attached it to the card with foam strips, to pop off of the page.

The lagoon colored sparkles in the center of the flowers, and the green eyelets, were from some of my older, retired CTMH stash.
